tea ceremony

Tea is not but this.
First you make the water boil,
Then infuse the tea.
Then you drink it properly.
That is all you need to know. | Sen no Rikyu

Cha Dao or Chanoyu is the ancient art of tea ceremony.  More than simply a beverage, tea is has been revered for centuries for it's ability to calm the mind, awaken the senses, and open the heart, and bring us into union with the natural world. This state allows us experience a deeper connection--to the Self, others, and the world around us. All of the teas served are organic, "living" teas from plants that thrive in nature, free from chemicals or pesticides. By serving the highest quality tea and spring water with intention, amongst carefully selected tea ware, flowers, and incense, the tea ceremony is a space of meditative reverence and sensual delight.
